Splash of Color

This is another in my series of pond scum images – yes, I said pond scum! I suppose there is a technical term for the stuff, but I confess that I don’t know what it is. Not that it matters really; beauty is beauty no matter where it is found. This image also belongs to the group of photographs that have been color saturated using simple software. If you look closely, you will notice leaves under the surface as well as bubbles in the foam. The random swirling patterns were interesting enough, but enhancing the color results in an image that demands to be noticed!

Wow. That’s what I call color.

Thanks for commenting – sometimes I like to play with the image and do something interesting. Your site was unique, and I need to take some more time and look around. I agree that film would force you to be more patient and selective in what you shoot, but I’m not giving up digital anytime soon!
