For many people, the only positive thing that might be said is that it does sound better in French!

These obnoxious weeds can be found just about anywhere, and are almost universally despised. There are some who enjoy eating the tender leaves, and others who succeed in making wine from the blossoms. Almost everyone else is dumping on the herbicides, yanking them out by the roots, or mowing them down.

The purpose of this photo is to showcase the simple beauty to be found if only we take a moment to look. I love the perfect symmetrical construction, the dense overlapping design, the similarity to exploding fireworks – stopped at maximum dispersion and frozen there for us to enjoy.  I am not saying we should encourage the little boogers, but even a lowly dandelion has something we can all appreciate.
